KST was co-founded by two Test & Measurement Engineers with more than a decade of experience working for Hewlett-Packard / Agilent Technologies. One the of the many gifts from that experience was that R&D Engineers spent countless hours on the Manufacturing Floor. Not only did this create a desire for KST to build its own products onsite, but it also teaches an Engineer how to build a better product. At KST, we believe that Engineering and Manufacturing belong together.
Designing but then building products for our customers is a true honor. This allows us to maintain documentation control, intellectual property protection, yield improvement, and overall product quality improvement. No one knows the product better than the original engineers who created it. We are proud to say that Design and Build happens in Colorado, USA.
All production builds are assigned unique work order numbers that define the product, its Bill of Material, and its production Order of Operations. Our ESD safe environment is the perfect backdrop for creating quality product without latent failure modes. Our 24/7, machine vision based robotic testing platform maintains revision control of firmware while capturing serial numbers, the work order number, and key parametric data for storage in our Cloud-based T&M Platform. Our platform allows our engineering team to understand failure peratos, get to root cause yield analysis, and set upper/lower control plus upper/lower specification limits.
